Kava Kava [Nervous] comes from the rhizome of the Piper methysticum plant (of the pepper family), indigenous to Polynesia and Indonesia. Historically it was prepared as a ceremonial drink to welcome visiting dignitaries. According to legend, the kava kava drinker often felt utter contentment and a greater sense of well-being.
Today kava kava is used to help reduce normal anxiety without impairing mental function. It may help promote more restful sleep in those struggling with occasional restlessness. Plus, it may help relax muscles. Each capsule contains 200 mg kava kava root concentrate.
CAUTION: Do not use while driving a motor vehicle or operating machinery. Not intended for use by pregnant or lactating women. Not for use by persons under the age of 18. Consult a health-care professional prior to use if you have liver problems, frequently use alcohol, or take any medication. Stop use if you develop symptoms that may signal liver problems.
