St. John’s Wort [Nervous] is an important herb for the nervous system. Wort comes from an Old English word meaning “plant” or “root.” This plant is named for St. John, the Baptist. It has long been popular for supporting the nervous system. St. John’s wort contains hypericin, a natural compound that has been shown to help support the nervous system by helping to promote positive mental attitude and mood. NSP combines St. John’s wort with passion flower, an herb with a long history of nervous system support. Each capsule contains 300 mg St. John’s wort standardized to 0.3% hypericin.
CAUTION: While taking this product, avoid exposure to strong sunshine and tanning rays or tanning salons. It is advisable to wear sunglasses when being exposed to strong sunlight conditions. Consult your health care provider before using this product if you are taking prescription antidepressive drugs, including selective serotonin uptake inhibitors, as well as any MAO inhibitors.
